Finding Your School
Take a Tour
You know a future in beauty is for you. Now you’ll need to find a school. The first thing you can do to find your perfect fit is to take a tour! Tours allow you to gain an inside look into what a school is like behind the scenes. From the classrooms, to the salon, and pretty much everything in between, you will be able to get a wider view of the school.
In addition to the school itself, you will also be able to peek into the culture of the school and determine if the school is a good fit for your personality and needs. Taking a tour gives you an opportunity to meet the staff and get all your questions answered and are not something that should be missed!
Once you have found the school of your dreams you’ll want to secure your spot. Speak with the enrollment representative to find a program and start date that works for your schedule. We offer programs for Cosmetology, Barbering, Barber Crossover, Esthetics, and Makeup Artist. Once your start date is decided, your next step is to enroll.
Enrollment involves an application process that we would love to help you through, call us today at (833) 841-4201 and let us help you take your first step!
Figure Out Your Finances
Beauty school is an important investment, but don’t let that keep you from your dreams. There are many options to help you pay for your education, including scholarships and grants that could help you lower your cost if you qualify.
At Colleen O’Hara’s Beauty Academy we are proud to offer financial aid for those who qualify. If you are interested in utilizing federal aid to help you pay for you beauty education, there are many options available to you.
Getting Ready For Your First Day
Arrange Your Schedule
While there are many scheduling options available in beauty school, there still may be some things you need to do to make sure that the start of your education experience goes off without a hitch.
Make sure you have care for any children or family members worked out and have arranged a new schedule with your day job if needed. In addition, make sure you tell people that you are starting this journey. Not only will their support be instrumental in the months to come but will make it easier to decline invitations on days you need to be studying.
Putting school first will help to make your experience the best it can be and to get you on the right track for an amazing career.
Dress The Part
Many schools have a dress code, and Colleen O’Hara’s Beauty Academy is no exception. Make sure you review the student handbook to know what clothing, hair, and shoes are required, and then get everything ready before day one. It is the first day of school after all, and you want to look your very best!
Have Your Tools Ready
While your enrollment in beauty school includes a kit with all of your beauty school supplies, you will want to make sure that everything is ready and in working order.
You will go through your kit with your future aspiring beauty professionals within your first week of class. Make sure to reach out to your instructors or even current students to know if everything you will need in place and what other things you may want to help make your experience the best it can be!
