How to Make Your Barber Program Fit in with Your Life
Most people checking out the barbering program at Colleen O’Hara’s Beauty Academy know that they will have to juggle a lot in order to go to school. Barbering classes take about 15 months to complete. Many students need to keep working while going to school. The good news is the COBA has a flexible schedule to help students fit classes into their lives. Future barbers choose mornings or evenings for classes.
Barbering Classes at COBA are Fun and Interesting
COBA breaks down the classes in the barbering program so that students grasp the concepts in each class. Classes focus on a couple of major ideas or skills and build on each other. This way, students are not overwhelmed by the amount of material.
Really commit to the program to be successful in barbering school. Before starting classes, figure out what you need to succeed. First of all, talk to the advisors at COBA to get a realistic view of what it takes. Talk to your friends and family. Let them know that you have to focus on school and might not be able to hang out as often. If you will need to work, discuss your class schedule with your boss. Make sure you let them know when you can work and when you can’t. Finally, financial aid is available. You make it through school faster if you don’t have to work full-time.
